DESCRIPTION:Are you a freelance journalist who is curious about data journalism? In this session\, journalist Justin Yarga will share to integrate data journalism\, mindset and tools\, in daily reporting\, in just a few steps.\n\nJustin wants to help demystify data journalism\, usually seen as “nerd journalism”\, and scale it down to fit daily reporting and investigative projects.\n\nHe’ll go over how thinking like a data journalist can help freelances improve their reporting\, through finding original stories to pitch\, building evidence for the story and innovating in their storytelling.\n\nAbout 15 – 20 minutes presentation\, followed by open discussion / Q&A.\nJoin us\, around lunch time\, at our open office.
